Welcome to AdvocateLink
AdvocateLink is an opportunity/ skills matching service modeled after career sites to link skilled, trained volunteer advocates to the research community. AdvocateLink addresses an unmet need of identifying opportunities within the research community. Research advocates can then use their skills and knowledge to inform the process by volunteering for those opportunities with registered organizaions. There is no cost for the service. AdvocateLink is the first site designed specifically to assist the research community to identify and match advocates to opportunities within the organization to provide feedback and to work with the research community to advance research.

Success Stories
Patient advocates have a major influence in areas such as grant review, clinical trial design by providing feedback on concept and protocol development, speaking out about research funding and policy issues. We are pleased to present success stories from research advocates and their activities. Have a story you would like to share? Let us know by emailing us at info@advocatelink.org
Research Advocates Score a Win in Clinical Trial Design
When the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group's patient representatives proposed adding a lower dose 'dex' arm to a clinical trial for treatment of multiple myeloma they were just looking for a way to make the treatment more tolerable. Thanks to the researchers listening to their input they found the outcome for myeloma patients actually improved. Link here to learn more about this success.
